Controversies trailing the $9.3m seized by the South African
Government have taken a new dimension as members of the All Progressive Congress
in the House of Rep staged a walkout on the House Tuesday September 23
following a stalled debate.
You will recall that a private jet with three people from
Nigeria, including an Israeli, conveyed the said money, which was said to be
meant for the procurement of arms and ammunition to South Africa.
Attempt by House members to deliberate on the motion on Today
(Tuesday) failed after a voice vote called by the presiding Deputy Speaker, Mr.
Emeka Ihedioha, went in favour of the majority, who opposed the debate.
Members of the All Progressive Congress of the lower house
immediately began walking out on the House.
