Presidency Reacts Angrily To Fashola’s Statement

The Presidency through the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Public Affairs, Dr. Doyin Okupe has reacted angrily to a statement credited to the governor of Lagos State, Babatunde Raji Fashola.

Fashola had during the occasion of the 50th Birthday Celebration of the former Governor of Bayelsa State, Timipre Sylva criticised the President has been inactive for three years.

The Lagos State governor was quoted as saying:

“This government had been inactive for 3 years and in the fourth year intends to give the electorate kerosene, price and money for the purpose of seeking their votes;” said Fashola.

While reacting to the governor’s criticism, Dr Okupe had this to say:

“It has become necessary for us to respond to some blatant and obvious lies, deliberate and skilful misinformation contained in the lecture given by Governor Raji Fashola at the 50th Birthday Celebration of former Governor Timipre;” Okupe said.
